Charges
A full statement of the Charging Policy is available at the school but the main
charges are as follows:
- Tuition fees for accepted pupils outside Northern Ireland.
- Board and Lodging on residential visits.
- Entry fees for a re-sit of a public examination.
- Costs for re-scrutiny of certificate examination results if requested by parents.
- The cost of ingredients or materials where parents have indicated a wish to own finished products.
- Voluntary contributions to clubs and societies, Parents' Association membership and insurance at the beginning of each year (currently £25).
The WELB no longer pays for music tuition fees. The exact cost of tuition would be conveyed by schools to parents but the WELB is then responsible for follow-up requests for payment.
School Uniform
School colours are royal blue, grey, red and white.
Girls wear a royal blue blazer, grey skirt, grey sweaters, and white shirt; boys wear a royal blue blazer, grey shirt, grey or black trousers and grey sweaters.
Precise details of clothing, together with the names of suppliers, are listed in a separate uniform guide. School uniform is compulsory and pupils are expected to co-operate fully about regulation wear.
Complaints Procedure
Complaints shall be dealt with in accordance with Article 33 of the Education Reform (N.I.) Order 1989 and regulations as subsequently made by the Department of Education.
